Dr. Eva-Marie Muller-Stuler
Dr. Eva-Marie is leading the Data & AI practice for EY MENA. She is responsible for the development and implementation of complex data science and AI projects and transformations. She was voted as one of the best data scientists in the World 2021.
Previously, Dr. Eva-Marie was CTO Artificial Intelligence and Chief Data Scientist for the Middle East and Africa at IBM.
After studying mathematics and dissertation, Dr. Eva-Marie started her career in advising European companies on restructuring and performance optimization. For this, she developed many first-of-a-kind data methods and models. At a big four company in London, she led one of the first data science teams in Europe to develop groundbreaking data driven methods and techniques to highlight the possibilities as well as impact of data science and AI on the economy, society, and individuals.”
For over 20 years, Dr. Eva-Marie has worked for NGOs, governments and F500 companies. She is a sought-after speaker at international governmental and non-government organizations, and in many international conferences. She is also the founder and investor of several tech companies.
Today, Dr. Eva-Marie is one of the world’s most respected data science thought leaders and has received numerous awards, including “World’s Best Data Scientist” (2020), “The 10 most influential Women in Technology” (2021), “Top 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics” (2022). She is a strong advocate of equality in science and has founded and led several organizations that contribute to the advancement of women in the technology industry.

Over ten years of progressive experience in leading research and development teams at MIT and Masdar Institute cooperative program and the Abu Dhabi Police Engineering Department delivering technology solutions. Research efforts were focused on utilizing AI and machine learning technologies in conjunction with Data Analytics techniques to analyze reliabilities and strategies related to the workforce for a transition from an Oil & Gas Energy Economy towards a Renewable-Energy knowledge-based Economy and to investigate the ramifications of automation on the UAE and the GCC future markets and associated employment opportunities. Currently working in the Engineering Department of Abu Dhabi Police as a Major-Officer & Team Leader of the Research & Development Team. Abdulla received his PhD in Interdisciplinary Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) & Masdar Institute of Science and Technology Cooperative Program. Al Shimmari is a board member at the Arab Youth Research Council and has vast experience in entrepreneurism and innovation with 10 national and international awards records; he is also an active member of the Khalifa Fund, the Pitch at Palace community, and the Khalifa Innovation Center (KIC). Al Shimmari Co-founded several technology-based businesses such as AMS Technology (software, Web/App/Software/AI development company), RestHero.io (affordable digital transformation tools packages for MSMEs solution), and HCMS.ai (Human Capital Management System) an AI, ML, and Data Science powered system that helps to bridge the supply (educational institutions) and demand (job market) skills gap.
